MYERS PARK

When rich history meets luxury boutiques, posh restaurants, and gourmet grocery stores

Welcome to Myers Park

When rich history meets luxury boutiques, posh restaurants, and gourmet grocery stores

Since 1987, Myers Park has been the most well-known neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its rich history is at the heart of its popularity, contributing structures, sites, and more than 600 buildings. According to the National Historic District, Myers Park was recognized for the work John Nolen and E.S. Drape did on the neighborhood's parks and streets, using a vision they had for an urban park.

The area's historic architecture is another attractive feature in Myers Park, with much of the neighborhood embraced by Colonial Revival designs with the occasional Tudor Revival, bungalows, and American Craftsman. The architectural high point, however, was the placement of unique and beautifully designed upscale homes near J.S. Myers Park (the former front yard of J.S. Myers) and the widely-recognized Duke Mansion.

Locals are also very fond of the beautiful weather and higher-than-national-average sunny days. In the heart of summer, residents enjoy highs in the 90s, while winter highs average in the 50s. Either way, more than 200 days of the year are gifted with the sun shining over the neighborhood, allowing locals to walk the scenic trails in nearby parks and comfortably enjoy high-end retailers and phenomenal eateries.

Local Lifestyle

Between upscale shopping centers and luxurious restaurants, residents enjoy a dynamic combination of high-end benefits in Myers Park. You can shop anywhere from the unique small business and specialty retailers to luxurious department stores and outlets. Locals hit up little gems near Myers Park Center and elegant steak houses for a night out on the town for food. When it comes time to relax and become one with nature, residents flock to one of many parks to bird watch, exercise, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and experience the incredible North Carolina habitat.

These luxuries have benefitted the community in many ways, fueling the substantial love for good food and retail while constructing a quiet, well-taken-care-of neighborhood committed to preserving its historic land.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Dining, entertainment, and shopping are integral parts of everyday life in Myers Park. When the shopping bug bites, locals gather at the Myers Park Shopping Center to purchase from high-end brand names and local tenants that appeal to the affluent community. However, when hunger strikes, ACE, Selwyn Pub, and Mama Ricotta's are the places to go.

ACE has the best burgers in town, Selwyn Pub is incredibly pleasing to look at and full of great beer and staff, and Mama Ricotta's is home to the best Italian cooking and New Haven-style pizza you'll ever have.

Things to Do

At least four places are thriving all year round: Freedom Park, Discovery Place Nature, The Duke Mansion, and Mint Museum. Residents love gathering around Freedom Park for long walks or runs and cookouts with family and friends. To get closer to nature, locals meet at Discovery Place Nature for hands-on classes and exhibits. The Duke Mansion is a great place to visit for a unique and historical experience that captures its 1915 establishment. And Mint Museum is the most extensive art collection in the Southeastern U.S. and the very first art museum to be introduced in the area.
